As a leader in the philanthropic sector, Almeta Corbin, MNM managed 14 years grants administration for Caring for Colorado Foundation; a $155 million endowed grantmaking program dedicated to addressing health disparities, expand leadership and health outcomes in rural and communities of color, and remove obstacles for increased engagement of grassroots organizations involving over $70 million in grantmaking and community action strategies.  Almeta graduated with a Master’s degree in nonprofit management from Regis University. Almeta is a Colorado Trust Fellow. Almeta  has a long affiliation with the philanthropic sector where she served on the Board of Directors of the national Grants Managers Network (GMN), co-founded the Rocky Mountain chapter of the GMN, and elected president of a health advisory council for the be well Health and Wellness Initiative of the Stapleton Foundation. Almeta served as member on the Denver Foundation’s Inclusiveness workgroup, Association of Black Foundation Executives/Hispanics in Philanthropy Collaborative and co-chaired the African American Breast Cancer Health Conference founded by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Denver. Her training also includes health fitness and cultural performing dance arts. Almeta’s experience in building community-based initiatives and shared vision amongst diverse stakeholders has led her to participate in service projects in South Africa, Central America, and the Caribbean.
